$450
Acrylic on duplex canvas, 30 x 24 inches
I painted this as a familiar place, one I know by feel more than by name, a narrow Dallas street where light always seems to find its way in. I focused on brush strokes that stay loose and directional, letting the paint move like footsteps, vertical pulls and angled sweeps guiding the eye forward.
The color palette is built on contrast, heavy charcoals and muted blues holding the space, while yellows, pinks, and electric hints of turquoise cut through like reflected storefront light. I wanted the movement to feel compressed and intimate, the buildings leaning inward, the space narrowing just enough to feel enclosed but alive.
The figures are simplified on purpose, shaped by motion rather than detail. They exist as presence, not identity, grounding the composition without becoming the focus. This piece is about atmosphere, about how this place feels at night, the quiet energy, the glow, the sense of passing through somewhere known and fleeting at the same time.

$500
Acrylic on traditional canvas, 30 x 40 inches
I painted this as a familiar Dallas street reduced to rhythm, light, and motion. I let the brush strokes stay bold and directional, stacked and dragged so the surface feels active, almost restless. The buildings are suggested rather than defined, built from blocks of color that lean and intersect, giving the space a compressed, urban pulse.
The color palette is saturated and unapologetic, turquoise, teal, magenta, yellow, and deep violet pushing against one another. Warm yellows cut a vertical path through the center, acting like a corridor of light, while cooler blues and purples hold the edges in shadow. The movement comes from contrast, thick strokes laid beside thin ones, sharp angles crossing softer vertical pulls.
The figures are minimal and slightly luminous, anchored in the light but softened at the edges. They are not portraits, they are scale, presence, and direction. This piece is about how the city feels rather than how it looks, the way color hums after dark, the way space closes in and opens at the same time, and the quiet energy of moving through a place you know by heart.

$400
Acrylic on duplex canvas, 24 x 24 inches
My brush strokes are soft and deliberate, layered to create a gentle texture rather than sharp movement. I kept the figure simplified and turned away, allowing the shape and posture to carry the weight instead of facial detail.
My color palette is restrained and calm. Warm gold fills the background like a muted halo, balanced by lavender and soft gray tones below. The white wings are built with thick, feathery strokes, giving them weight and presence without sharp edges. Subtle shadows and highlights shape the wings so they feel full and protective rather than dramatic.
The movement in this piece flows through the elongated form, grounding the composition. Small white strokes drift across the lower background, adding quiet texture and space. This work is about balance, stillness, and a sense of calm strength, held together by softness rather than force.

Adam and Eve
Acrylic on canvas board, 16 x 20 inches
Framed, overall size 23 x 27 inches
I painted Adam and Eve as a symbolic, graphic composition focused on contrast and balance. The brush strokes shift between flat, controlled areas and textured splatter, creating tension across the surface without becoming overly detailed.
The color palette pairs deep blues and purples in the upper space with warm browns, ochres, and yellows in the figures. The black and white checkerboard introduces strong contrast and movement, pulling the eye diagonally through the piece. Red from the apple and gold tones in the watch and moon act as focal points.
The figures are simplified torso forms, emphasizing symbolism over identity. Movement flows upward and diagonally, with repeating shapes and tilted planes creating a sense of imbalance and duality. This work relies on color, pattern, and form to explore choice, time, and consequence rather than narrative.
